Been meaning to try wild crust for a while especially as a local resident of the neighborhood. My wife and I were about to go to bub and grandma’s new pizza shop on York but realized they didn’t have seating so we wound up here. The outdoor patio of Wildcrust is fabulous, vibey, and a local family vibe. Lots of artistic couples with their kids. We kicked off the meal with a watermelon salad which was very refreshing and tasty, the heirloom tomatoes in the salad were somewhat mid level in flavor. But that might not be the restaurant’s fault we are nearing the end of tomato season. We also had the artichokes which our server mentioned were more antipasti style, and they were a miss. They did not mention that the artichokes were Smokey in flavor on the menu. We also ordered the meatballs and they fell apart immediately and the texture of them was soft and underdone. Key take away is that the more adventurous apps on the menu are not your best move here, go for the Caesar salad and pizza, maybe even the grilled items. We chose not to go for the grilled zucchini because we were told by the server that they use a vegan gelatin in the cheese emulsion sauce which sounded not so appetizing. Next we moved on to the pizza which was solid, it reminded me a bit of the Roberta’s style pie. Small size pie but loaded with flavor, not quite at the level Roberta’s but enjoyable. Definitely will make a trip back here the wine list was expansive.

Fantastic food and what an amazing service! We enjoyed their meat balls, hamachi crudo and the signature Lamb tzatziki pizza, not to mention a whole lot of other delicious dishes on offer. Do not miss their famous fantastic Caesar salad with the perfect dressing, with the right amount of anchovies, flavoursome croutons and loads of fluffy Parmesan shaving to top it all off. Their homemade pistachio Tiramisu and strawberry sorbet was irresistible even after a BIG meal. Highly recommend!

This place blew me away. Ambiance was great and food was phenomenal. I expected the pizza to be great, and it was (the lamb tzatziki pizza is a must-try). But what really shocked me was how delicious all the other dishes were — the octopus was maybe the most tender I’ve ever had in my life, the cabbage was perfectly prepared, and the duck mousse with apple relish was a delightful combo. Highly recommend

Arrives with the promise of wood-fired delights, but the experience is a bit like an uneven pizza crust—some bites hit the mark, others leave you wondering what went wrong. The space skews casual, a departure from what I expected. The service was friendly, though a bit green, which is understandable for a new spot. The duck croquettes started things off but stumbled. The duck flavor was lost in a cheesy sea, leaving a taste reminiscent of a hybrid mozzarella stick and fish stick rather than a croquette. As for the pizzas, the dough was the star—airy, chewy, and well-executed. However, they arrived disappointingly lukewarm, missing the piping-hot allure that makes pizza pizza. The margherita pizza was fine but lacked the vibrant sauce and rich cheese that make this classic shine. The lamb tzatziki pizza, despite an intriguing concept, fell short. The lamb felt like an afterthought, scattered on top like a garnish rather than integrated into the pie. Then came some redemption: the pork chop. Perfectly cooked and tender, with a tamarind glaze that struck a delicious balance of sweet and tangy. Paired with a fennel and persimmon salad that was bright and crunchy. This plate alone may be reason enough to visit. The grilled cabbage was another win. Smoky, soft, and paired with a pecorino sauce and sun-dried tomato vinaigrette. I could’ve used a bit more char though. Wildcrust has potential, but it’s still finding its groove. A good spot for a casual night out with some solid food, it’s worth a try but manage your expectations.

Went dinner with a few friends this week. Loved everything there — from pizza to meatball and buratta. Pork chop is simply heavenly — so unique, tender, and flavorful, unlike any pork chop I have ever had. What a gem! 💎
