My wife and I have been fortunate to have dined at many great restaurants throughout the world. Of course we use the Michelin guide to give us an idea of which restaurants one might consider but we also try to have an open mind and we try to be guided by the chef's vision as we embark on this gastronomic journey together. We were of course excited to dine at this exceptional restaurant. The setting is idyllic in Nerano with breath-taking sea views. We arrived early (usually not our style but we wanted to enjoy sunset at this wonderful location) and were greeted warmly. After a minor delay we were then whisked to our beautiful corner table with a wonderful sea view. Salvatore and Antonio introduced themselves and were excellent servers Every course we had was fresh, creative and full of flavor. The wine pairings complemented our meal wonderfully and Kiara the sommelier guided us masterfully through these wonderful wines. Overall we were impressed with this wonderful place and feel it has a well deserved three Michelin stars.

This review is for the restaurant only. One of the few 3 star Michelin restaurants in Italy, it's well deserved when looking at the service, food and decorations. Everything about the experience was fantastic and unique. Small tips: - There is a private parking lots for guests right next to the restaurant. If you're lost, just ask the front desk and they'll point you to where to go. The parking lot is extremely tight though, so watch out for your car. - Speaking of tight, the road to get here is also some of the toughest driving I've done. There aren't too many options to get here easily, so if you're renting a car like us, be mentally prepared. - The restaurant seems to be bookable for a good chunk of the day, but if you want the view, avoid booking in the evening. We made the mistake of taking one of the later evening spots and when we arrived, the entire area was pitch black. Sadly this meant the view was a waste in our dining experience.

A well deserved 3 star Michelin restaurant! Incredible cuisine and the service is outstanding. Mr. Antonio took the time to leave the kitchen and personally greet his guests at their table. We loved this restaurant so much that we returned multiple times during our stay. Mr. Antonio continued to personally welcome us with each visit. He is warm and engaging and he made our trip to Nerano very special! The food, view, decor and grounds are absolutely spectacular.

My opinion comes with all the subjectivity it deserves. After all, who am I to judge the hard work of an entire team, a great chef, and a family pouring their heart and soul into Quattro Passi? I’m just a North American chef who’s had the chance to dine in several Michelin-starred restaurants around the world. So yes, my feedback is shaped by my own background, my palate, and my personal expectations. It was a beautiful evening. The meal was elegant and, in my opinion, truly reflected the chef’s Italian roots, memories, and love for local ingredients. Everything was well-executed and carefully prepared. Still… I must admit that, at times, I missed that spark, that emotional “wow” moment that leaves you speechless or moves you in some unexpected way. Maybe I just didn’t fully understand some of the culinary messages…could be. Overall, I tasted good dishes, but very few that I would describe as truly outstanding or memorable. Service was also very good, but I felt that connection between the kitchen and the guests wasn’t always fully there. As a diner, I crave context… stories behind the ingredients, details about the wine pairings, a glimpse into the “why” behind each dish. Unfortunately, I found some inconsistencies: different tables seemed to get different levels of explanation. I even overheard interesting details about dishes I had already eaten, shared with tables that arrived after me. And then… the desserts. Perhaps it was just the offering that night, but I found them surprisingly simple..not bad at all, but definitely not what I would expect from a three Michelin-star experience. I understand that Italian desserts are often more restrained and less elaborate by tradition… but I still hoped for a little extra creativity or technical flair. That being said: I ate well, I drank well, and I had a genuinely nice time. But deep down, I left with a small sense of disappointment, simply because I was hoping for something even more unique and emotionally striking at this level. Again, who am I to judge? This is just one chef’s humble and personal opinion, shaped by taste and life experience.

A well-deserved three Michelin stars for the family and the team behind Quattro Passi, who have poured decades of dedication, hard work, creativity, and skill into crafting a restaurant that delivers unforgettable moments. You can feel the passion in every detail – from the stunning location with its breathtaking sea view to the refined atmosphere and the beautifully executed dishes. Each course was fresh, elegant, and full of subtle, well-balanced flavors. The wine pairing was thoughtful and elevated the meal. This is a place where excellence is the standard, and where the goal is clearly not just to serve dinner, but to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We left feeling grateful for having experienced something so thoughtfully and lovingly created. Hats off to a team that truly deserves the highest possible ranking.
