The special was really good as a sharing meal. It was good value overall. It has most of the items I'd be looking for. Rolls were pretty good. Maybe just one filler roll. Chicken karaage was a bit overdone and slightly over- seasoned. The dining area is fairly spacious with a variety of seating. Really hate the QR code menu. No physical menus available at all? Maybe I'm living in the past. Service was spotty after taking our order. Didn't see our server much unless food came out, and afterwards, only when we asked for the bill I would've preferred the appetizer dishes coming out before the main meal. Despite the server apologizing, the bad timing just takes away the overall dining experience.

Come here occasionally for some ramen, they’re on the more expensive side for Japanese food. I previously tried their tonkotsu ramen which was pretty solid. I opted for the tantan ramen this time and was quite disappointed with it. First of all, there was not much flavour except for being super salty. The meat on top is one giant slab that is hard to chew on the inside yet it’s soggy on the outside, a very odd combination of textures. The meat felt very tough and I had 2 bites and put it aside and didn’t bother to finish it. Their bento box is quite good with the variety they give and you get a bit of everything. The tempura was really good! Crispy exterior and fresh interior. Can’t really mess up tempura. For their reputation and price point, I would’ve liked all their ramens to be 10/10 but that wasn’t the case. Service and environment is great but probably won’t come back often unless I crave the tonkotsu ramen specifically.

I love everything about this place. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Perfect for a date night. I had the Spicy Chicken Karrage Ramen and it was so good. I also got the tuna bao on the side and it was the perfect compliment to the ramen. I will be back for sure!

Had dinner here and overall it was OK. For the price I am expecting better quality and its not just the case. First off, the miso soup was watery and no miso taste whatsoever, the tofu used is not the usual soft tofu. Pretty bad start for the meal. Was really looking forward to some ramen and ordered the spicy tonkatsu ramen but was deeply disappointed as the broth was so bland, none of the deep flavour I was expecting from a tonkatsu ramen. Looked good but flavour was not present that day. Ordered a bunch of nigiris and they were all good but too was on the expensive side for what you get. It’s the same deal for everything else we ordered, was good but not amazing and not worth the price. The rolls here are probably what most people should get but for sashimi and nigiri, there are better places to spend your hard earned money.

Gaijin Izakaya - Good Japanese Fine Dine Had a really great experience at Gaijin Izakaya tried variety of dishes. Started my evening with herbal tea - Gekkeikan Traditional, it was really good. Cleared my throat and made me excited to the food to follow. Had their agedashi tofu which was really good. Good taste good texture, the tofu was the perfect not too soft or hard. Followed by bao buns. Bao buns are a must try you can pick your poisons comes with different meat options. Also try their onigirazu, my first time eating it was the best. I tried the Spicy tuna salmon would not disappoint. Tuna tataki another taste i cannot forget. Everything was just so good. Next on the list was goku roll again it had the crunch the flavor and the fresh seafood taste. Lastly my Spicy Chicken Karaage ramen. It was also good but to me all the other items had too much of an impact, it felt a bit lacking as compared. It was a perfect night of Japanese food. Good vibes, good service, good food.
